Keystone Ecology is a specialist habitat restoration consultancy and wildlife gardening company. We provide expert advice on, and implementation of, weed management, indigenous planting and wildlife surveys.

Founded in 2012 by ornithologist Niall Mugan, Keystone Ecology aims to put nature first by carrying out ecological work that will have the best long-term outcome for the given environment. Our well-qualified staff work with the clients, and with nature, to make recommendations for the best possible outcome for all. Our solutions are farsighted, eco-friendly and efficient.

Keystone Ecology is experienced in habitat restoration and native planting to increase wildlife biodiversity, weed management, pest control, wildlife surveys, braided river surveys and tour guiding. We have completed a wide variety of ecological projects in and around Christchurch and the greater Canterbury region.
